Après une maîtrise d'histoire contemporaine à Nancy, Virginie Béjot part pour Prague en 2004 où elle travaille en tant que galleriste et médiatrice auprès des immigrés. Elle tourne son premier court-métrage en 2014 avant de tomber gravement malade.
Autodidacte, son approche de la photographie est directe, ordinaire et intimiste. Dans ses photos, Virginie invite le spectateur à poser son regard et à vivre une histoire.
Elle se rend fréquemment en Inde pour se soigner et organise des séjours ayurvédiques au sein de l'association qu'elle a créée avec le thérapeute Fabien Correch, du nom de Manayurvéda.
Virginie a rejoint la plateforme collaborative et de diffusion Hans Lucas en 2018.
After she obtained a degree in History in Nancy, Virginie Béjot left for Prague in 2004, where she worked as a galerist and a social worker in migration field. She directed her first 26" documentary film in 2014, but the project didn't succeeded as she tragically got very sick and got paralyzed.
Autodidact, she approaches photography in an intimist, ordinary and direct way.
She eventually visits India last couple of years, as she gets treatments there and organizes stays for other patients through the organization she created with the therapist Fabien Correch, and which is called Manayurveda.
Since 2018, she is a member of the studio Hans Lucas, a wellknown photographic and diffusion platform.
